New Himalaia Restaurante was born from a simple dream — to bring the warm hospitality of Nepal and the rich, soulful flavors of the Indian subcontinent to the heart of Lisbon. Every dish carries the spirit of the mountains and the love of home cooking.
Our chefs blend authentic Nepalese recipes with classic Indian culinary traditions, using fresh ingredients daily, hand-ground spices, and homemade, organic cooking methods passed down through generations.
From sizzling tandoori to comforting dal bhat, we invite you to share a table, a story, and a taste of the Himalayas.

Originally from the hills of Gulmi, Nepal, Chef Padam Bahadur Nepali is deeply passionate about bringing the authentic tastes of Nepal and India to every plate at New Himalaia.
With over 23 years of culinary experience, Padam has dedicated his craft to mastering the rich traditions of Indian and Nepalese cuisine — from the smoky depth of a clay tandoor to the soul-warming spices of a Nepalese dal and the bold, aromatic curries of the Indian subcontinent.
His journey through the kitchens of New Delhi sharpened his expertise as a Tandoor Chef, while his years in Lisbon allowed him to further perfect the art of Indian grilling and Nepalese cooking. Every dish he creates is a tribute to the vibrant culinary heritage of the Himalayas.
